■第一三共、国産ｍＲＮＡコロナワクチン生産へ工場増強 埼玉県で年間2000万回分

　製薬大手の第一三共が、開発中の新型コロナウイルスワクチンを製造する埼玉県の子会社工場を増強し、2024年度までに年間2000万回分を生産できる体制を整備することが６日、明らかになりました。１月13日に厚生労働省へワクチンの製造販売の承認申請を行っており、年内の実用化を目指しています。
　増強するのは子会社「第一三共バイオテック」（埼玉県北本市）の工場で、生産設備を増やすほか、新たな製造棟を建設する予定です。厚労省が承認した場合に備え、迅速な供給体制の構築を図ります。
　第一三共が開発、申請中のワクチンは「メッセンジャーＲＮＡ（ｍＲＮＡ）」を使うもので、アメリカのファイザーやアメリカのモデルナと同じタイプ。実用化すれば国内メーカーでは初として、注目されます。
　厚生労働省はワクチンの定期接種の議論も始めており、新型コロナとの共存に向けたインフラ整備が進んできました。塩野義製薬やＫＭバイオロジクスも別の方式の国産ワクチンを開発中で、主要国内３社の最大供給能力を合算すると１億本を超える形になります。
