■モスクワ市、１日のコロナ死者が過去最多の144人 インド型変異ウイルスが拡大

　ロシアの首都モスクワ市で27日、過去24時間の新型コロナウイルスによる死者が144人と、ロシアの都市としては過去最多を記録しました。政府の統計を報道各社が伝えました。
　26日には、サッカーヨーロッパ選手権の開催地の１つ、サンクトペテルブルク市で、過去最多の死者数が報告されていました。同市では７月２日にヨーロッパ選手権の準々決勝が行われ、数千人のファンが詰め掛けるとみられています。
　ロシアではここ数週間、感染力が強いインド型（デルタ型）変異ウイルスが拡大しており、感染者数が急増しています。
　ロシアの累計感染者数は一時、世界で２番目に多かったものの、国産ワクチンの一般接種が始まった昨年12月ころを境に、新規の感染者は減少傾向になっていました。それが６月に入って再び大幅な増加に転じ、１日２万人を超える日が続いています。新規感染者の約９割はインド型が占めるとされます。
　ウラジーミル・プーチン政権にとって悩みの種は、大統領自ら外国に売り込みをかけている「スプートニクＶ」など国産ワクチンの接種が、安全性への懸念などから国内で伸び悩んでいることです。政府のデータによると、１回でもワクチンを接種した国民は26日時点で全人口の２割台にとどまります。
　新規感染者の半分近くを占めるモスクワ市では26日、セルゲイ・ソビャニン市長が国営テレビで「感染拡大を根本的に防ぐには、迅速な大規模接種か封鎖措置だ」と訴え、スプートニクＶなどの接種を促しました。
　モスクワ市はサービス業者や飲食業者に対し、８月中旬までに従業員の６割の接種を完了するよう義務付け、違反すれば罰金を科します。接種するかどうかを国民の判断に委ねる従来方針を事実上転換したもの。
　モスクワでは、飲食店の利用も、28日からはワクチン接種ずみの者などに限定されます。ソチ市など南部の保養地では、８月以降、接種完了を宿泊施設利用の前提条件とします。
　インド型変異ウイルスは、ワクチン接種が進んだイスラエルやヨーロッパでも感染が拡大していますが、ロシア当局は、インド型にもスプートニクＶが有効だとしています。
　ただ、義務化の動きによって接種希望者が急増し、ワクチン生産が追い付かないという準備不足の実態も露呈。接種会場で在庫が尽き、作業中断に追い込まれるケースが相次いで伝えられており、増産の態勢作りが喫緊の課題となっています。
