■５〜９月、熱中症で救急搬送９万1467人 過去２番目の多さ [健康ダイジェスト]
総務省消防庁は27日、今年５～９月に熱中症で救急搬送されたのは全国で９万1467人だったとの確定値を発表しました。2018年の９万5137人に続いて、過去２番目の多さでした。
今年は５月中旬から各地で真夏日を記録し、気象庁によると７～９月の平均気温は３カ月連続で過去最高を更新。搬送者数も高止まりし、月別では５～７月と９月が過去２番目、８月も過去３番目に多くなりました。
搬送後最初に行われた診断で死亡が確認されたのは107人で、３週間以上の入院を必要とする重症が1889人、短期入院の必要な中等症が２万7545人、軽症が６万1456人でした。
年齢別では、65歳以上の高齢者が５万173人と半数あまりを占め、次いで、18歳以上65歳未満が３万910人、７歳以上18歳未満が9583人、７歳未満が801人となっています。
場所別では、住居が３万6541人と最も多く、全体の４割近くを占め、次いで道路が１万5186人、屋外の駐車場や競技場などが１万1742人でした。
この夏は青森県で初めて38度を上回ったほか、札幌市では過去最高の36・３度を観測するなど北日本でも暑さが際立ち、これに伴って搬送者も１万2032人と昨年（5512人）の２倍以上に上りました。
総務省消防庁は、「全国的に暑い日が続いたので熱中症の搬送者数も多い日が続いた。来年に向けて厳しい暑さに慣れていない北日本での熱中症対策の普及や啓発をこれまで以上に進めていく」と話しています。
