■今季のインフルエンザワクチン２割減 コロナによる資材不足で供給遅れも

　厚生労働省は１日、2021年度のインフルエンザワクチンの供給見通しを示しました。今季のワクチン供給量は、成人換算で5134〜5584万回分と、前年度より２割前後減る見込みです。2020年度の供給量が多かった反動で、例年と同水準だといいます。
　１日に開かれた厚労省の専門家部会で示しました。インフルエンザワクチンの使用実績は2019年度に5650万回分、2020年度に6548万回分と、いずれも2021年度の供給見通しより多くなっています。
　特に2020年度は新型コロナウイルスとの同時流行への懸念からインフルエンザワクチン接種の希望者が増え、成人換算で6684万人分が供給され、このうち6548万人分が接種に使用され、1996年以降で最多でした。
　専門家は今季も接種希望者が殺到し、供給が追い付かないことに対して懸念を示し、新型コロナワクチンと接種時期が重なった場合の接種体制の確保などを求めました。
　足元では新型コロナワクチンの需要拡大でワクチンの製造用資材が入手しづらく、インフルエンザワクチンの製造が前年度より遅れています。
　このため厚労省は、今季のインフルエンザワクチン接種が始まる10月ごろの供給量が昨季の６割程度になるとの見通しを示しました。製造会社の10月の出荷は遅れても、11月以降には供給が安定するため、大きな支障はないとみています。
　厚労省は例年の使用量は確保できる見込みだとして、医療機関に対し供給のペースに合わせてワクチン接種の予約を受け付けるよう呼び掛けています。
