■アメリカ製薬大手イーライリリーの開発薬、オミクロン型３系統に効果 コロンビア大などのチームが発表

　アメリカ製薬大手イーライリリーが開発した新型コロナウイルス感染症の抗体薬「ベブテロビマブ」が、オミクロン型変異ウイルスで多く検出されている３つの系統に効果を見込めるとの研究を、アメリカのコロンビア大などのチームが３日、イギリスの科学誌「ネイチャー」に発表しました。実用化された薬など複数の抗体を検証した結果、治療薬としてはこの薬だけ、３つの系統への抵抗力が落ちませんでした。
　チームが調べたのは、オミクロン型の流行初期に大半を占めた「ＢＡ・１」と呼ばれる系統とその関連系統に加え、デンマークや南アフリカで流行する「ＢＡ・２」。19種類の抗体について、それぞれの系統にくっつき細胞への侵入を防ぐ力がどのぐらいあるか検証しました。
　その結果、ベブテロビマブはいずれの系統に対しても抵抗力が落ちませんでした。イギリス製薬大手などが開発し、日本などで承認されている「ソトロビマブ」を含め17種類は、ＢＡ・２への対抗力が大きく損なわれていました。ＢＡ・２に効果が見込める残り１つの薬はＢＡ・１への効果が落ちていました。
　アメリカ食品医薬品局（ＦＤＡ）は２月11日、ベブテロビマブについて、症状が軽度から中程度で、重症化や死亡のリスクが高い12歳以上の患者を対象とし、他の治療が受けられない場合に限定して緊急使用許可を出しています。日本では承認されていません。
