■「がんが治る」とうたったサプリ販売のマルチ業者に取引停止命令 消費者庁 [健康ダイジェスト]
根拠がないのに「がんが治る」などとうたってサプリメントを販売したとして、消費者庁は３日、シンガポール企業の日本法人「リーウェイジャパン」（東京都港区）に対し、特定商取引法違反（不実告知など）で６カ月の取引停止を命じました。同庁が裏付けとなる資料の提出を求めたものの、期限までに提出しなかったといいます。
発表によると、同社は、会員が商品を販売したり、会員を勧誘したりする連鎖販売取引（マルチ商法）の方法で、2019年12月以降、サプリメント「パーティアプラセンタ」（１箱４万8600円、税込み）を販売。会員は「がんや糖尿病に効く」「アトピー、難病に効く」など、病気の症状が改善できるかのように宣伝していたといいます。
同社は2018年６月から事業を展開しており、全国の消費生活センターには、今年７月までに約400件の相談が寄せられています。クーリングオフができないと告げていた勧誘事例もあったといいます。
消費者庁によると、会員数は延べ約７万人で、昨年12月期の売上高は約80億円。会社は新規顧客を獲得した会員に報酬を支給していました。
