日本大学や東京医科大学などは、専門の技師や特別な装置なしで、高い精度で感染の有無を判定できる新たな検査法「革新的核酸増幅法＝ＳＡＴＩＣ法」を開発しており、塩野義製薬は22日、この検査法の実用化を進めると発表しました。
新たな検査法は、唾液を採取して95度に加熱処理をした上で、特定の試薬を混ぜると、陽性の場合は色が変わり、30分以内に確認できるということです。
研究チームが100の検体で検証したところ、ＰＣＲ検査と同等の精度で判定できたということです。
塩野義製薬は、「感染の有無を調べるために使われている抗原検査と比べて精度が高い。感染の第２波がくることが懸念される中、早期の実用化を目指し、空港での水際対策などにも役立てたい」と話しています。

Teens risking lives for fashion cancer council says no one should be bullied over fashion
Walking around a supermarket last week, shoppers in jeans, white shirts and black shoes said they had been bullied by staff over the choice of clothing they wore.
The council and its representatives met this week to talk about a survey which showed 66% of youngsters say they fear being bullied in the supermarket, with 70% saying they fear being judged in return.
Sara Anderson, a 22-year-old retail specialist, said: "Some retailers are pretty scary and you would see them make fun of people being older, they'd think it was a bit weird that you'd wear your jeans over your T-shirt.
"If it's not like this you don't have to live in fear of someone calling you an idiot or something like that."
It came after a survey carried out by the Campaign Against Bullying found the industry was now one of the most feared employers for young people – in part, because of bullying.
Research for the commission found that one third of teenagers say they have been bullied online and that 80% have experienced it at some point. The figures also reveal that nearly three quarters said they had been verbally abused or sexually harassed because of their colour, ethnicity or ethnicity of origin.
The study – which follows a series of research projects commissioned by the council – found nearly half of those surveyed – 52% – felt bullied in one way or another at work, while more than three in 10 said they were threatened with physical harm or violence.
A spokesman for the council said it was now investigating bullying in the industry, adding it had spoken to the retailer following some previous incidents.
"We are aware of some of the comments about some young people's shopping choices and these are all matters we are already investigating," a spokesman said. "We will not tolerate bullying of any sort, and we are fully supportive of the youth organisation – a very successful, passionate and passionate group of young people."
Sara Anderson, 18, who works at a clothes shop near her home on the Battersea Bridge, said she had been subjected to threats to her life and "fear of my life at times".
She said: "It's ridiculous, really, all these stores have different clothes and they seem to have decided that it's just an aesthetic thing, and all I buy is black."
She added: "At school, we didn't even have enough clothes, and so to have to buy something made of expensive stuff and having to put it in the laundry? It's not fair. I think it would be nice to live in a world where we're all just being treated equally."
