■ＷＨＯ、新型コロナへの警戒訴え 中東、アジアの一部で死者増

　世界保健機関（ＷＨＯ）のテドロス・アダノム事務局長は６日の記者会見で、新型コロナウイルス感染症について、中東やアジアの一部で死者数が増加していると指摘しました。北半球で冬を迎えるのを前に「懸念される傾向が続いている」とし、警戒を怠らないよう呼び掛けました。
　テドロス事務局長は、ＷＨＯに死者数を報告しているのは43カ国のみで、「データは限られている」と説明しました。入院に関する情報提供は20カ国にとどまりますが、ＷＨＯの担当者は「現在、数十万人がコロナで入院している」と推定しました。
　テドロス事務局長は世界中で支配的な変異型はないとする一方、オミクロン型の派生型「ＥＧ・５」（通称エリス）が増加傾向にあると述べました。
