■プール熱の患者数、過去10年間で最多を更新 ５週連続増加

　子供がかかりやすく、高熱や結膜炎などの症状が出る、いわゆる「プール熱」の患者が、過去10年間で最も多くなったことがわかりました。
　咽頭結膜熱、いわゆるプール熱は子供を中心に高熱やのどの痛み、結膜炎などの症状を起こすアデノウイルスによる感染症で、せきやくしゃみなどの飛まつで感染するほか、プールでの接触やタオルの共用を介して感染することもあります。
　国立感染症研究所によりますと、全国およそ3000の小児科の医療機関で、９月17日までの１週間に報告された患者は、前の週から570人余り増えて4539人で、前の週から５週連続で増えました。１医療機関当たりの患者数は１・45人で、過去10年間で最も多くなった前の週の１・26人をさらに上回りました。
　都道府県別でみると、１医療機関当たりの患者が最も多いのは福岡県で４・65人、次いで大阪府が４・09人で、警報レベルとされる「３・０人」を超えていて、京都府が２・95人、奈良県が２・88人などとなっています。
　子供の感染症に詳しい国立病院機構三重病院の谷口清州院長は、「この感染症は５歳未満の子が感染することが多いが、今年はこの３年間でウイルスに感染してこなかった上の年齢の子にも広がっている。症状がある時は登園や登校を避け、手洗いやマスクの着用など対策を心掛けてほしい」と話しています。
