■40歳代女性の体力低下止まらず、６割がスポーツ「週１日未満」 スポーツ庁調査 [健康ダイジェスト]
40歳代女性の６割はスポーツをする機会が週１日に満たないことが８日、スポーツ庁が公表した2022年度の男女の「体力・運動能力調査」で明らかになりました。仕事や育児に追われて時間がないことなどが要因とみられ、10年近く前の同年代と比べて体力や運動能力の成績が落ちている実態が判明しました。
調査は2022年５～10月、６～79歳の約５万6000人から握力や上体起こしなどのデータを集めて得点化しました。６種目実施した40歳代女性の合計点（60点満点）は平均33・37点にとどまり、低下傾向に歯止めがかかりませんでした。
運動習慣調査も行われ、スポーツをする頻度が「週１日未満」という40歳代女性は60・９％に上りました。大半は１日当たり「30分未満」で、そのうち１割程度は「あまり健康でない」「生活が充実していない」などと回答。
一方、40歳代男性のスコアは横ばいで、運動するのが「週１日未満」という割合は47・３％でした。
今回の調査結果を分析した順天堂大学大学院の内藤久士教授（運動生理学）は、「子供のころからあまり運動しなかった世代が40、50歳代に差し掛かってきた。近い将来、60歳代の数値が下がる可能性がある」と指摘しています。
スポーツ庁は「40歳代の女性は家事や子育ての負担が大きく運動を行う場所も十分に整っていない」と分析し、女性が日常生活の中で運動に取り組めるプログラムをホームページで紹介しているほか、「周知啓発や環境整備を図り、女性のスポーツ実施の促進を図っていきたい」としています。
