■新型コロナ肺炎患者に世界初の生体肺移植 京都大学病院 [健康ダイジェスト]
京都大学病院は、新型コロナウイルスに感染して肺炎となり、肺に重い後遺症を患う女性患者に、夫と息子から提供を受けた肺の一部を移植する手術を行い、成功したと発表しました。病院によりますと、新型コロナウイルスで肺に後遺症を患った患者への生体肺移植は、世界で初めてだということです。
これは８日、京都大学医学部附属病院の呼吸器外科長で、執刀した伊達洋至教授らが会見して明らかにしたものです。
それによりますと、肺移植を受けたのは、関西在住の女性患者。女性は昨年の末、新型コロナウイルスに感染して重度の肺炎を患い、人工心肺装置（ＥＣＭＯ、エクモ）による治療を受けて、その後、陰性が確認されました。
しかし、両方の肺が線維化してほとんど機能しなくなり、回復は見込めない状態だったということで、家族から臓器の提供の申し出があり、５日に京都大学病院に転院し、７日に女性の夫と息子から提供された左右の肺の一部を移植する手術を行ったということです。
手術は11時間近くかけて無事に終了し、女性は現在、集中治療室で手当を受けているということですが、このまま回復すれば、３カ月で社会復帰できる見込みだということです。夫と息子の経過も良好だということです。

一方、生体肺移植は肺以外の臓器に障害がない65歳未満の患者が対象となるため、基礎疾患を抱えているケースが多いＥＣＭＯを使う患者では、治療できるのは限定的なケースだとみられるとも指摘しています。
