■新型コロナ、世界の感染者１億3202万人 死者286万人 アストラゼネカのワクチン、 17歳以下の臨床試験停止

　アメリカのジョンズ・ホプキンス大学の集計によりますと、新型コロナウイルスの感染が確認された人は、日本時間の７日午前３時の時点で、世界全体で１億3202万3888人となりました。また、感染して亡くなった人は、世界全体で286万4509人となりました。
　感染者が最も多い国はアメリカで3079万9376人、ブラジルが1301万3601人、インドが1268万6049人、フランスが489万3973人、ロシアが454万6307人となっています。
　感染して亡くなった人が最も多い国もアメリカで55万5792人、ブラジルが33万2752人、メキシコが20万4399人、インドが16万5547人、イギリスが12万7126人となっています。
　イギリスのオックスフォード大学は、アストラゼネカと開発した新型コロナウイルスのワクチンで、接種後に血栓が確認された例が報告されていることを受け、さらなる情報が得られるまで17歳以下を対象に行ってきた臨床試験をいったん停止することを明らかにしました。
　オックスフォード大学がアストラゼネカと共同で開発したワクチンを巡っては、成人が接種を受けた後に血栓が確認された例がヨーロッパ各国で報告されています。
　オックスフォード大学は17歳以下を接種の対象に含められるかを検証する臨床試験を今年２月からイギリス国内で始めていましたが、６日、いったん停止することを明らかにしました。
　オックスフォード大学は声明で、「臨床試験の安全性への懸念はない」と強調した上で、まれなケースとして血栓などの例が報告されていることを受け、規制当局からさらなる情報が得られるまでは臨床試験は進めないとしています。
　このワクチンを巡ってヨーロッパ連合（ＥＵ）の規制当局は３月、「安全で効果的なワクチンで、人々を守るメリットはリスクを上回る」との見解を発表した上で引き続き調査を進めていて、近く、結果を公表する見通しです。
