　新型コロナウイルスのワクチン接種を証明する「ワクチンパスポート」について、加藤勝信官房長官は１日午前の記者会見で、実務を担う自治体との調整やシステム改修などを進めていると説明した上で、発行が始まるのは７月下旬になるという見通しを示しました。
　この中で加藤官房長官は、ワクチン接種を証明する「ワクチンパスポート」の発行に向けて、実務を担う自治体との調整や接種記録のシステム改修、記載事項を定めるための予防接種法の施行規則の改正作業などを進めていると説明しました。
　その上で、「今月中旬に予防接種法の施行規則を公布し、自治体で改修されたシステムの試行などを行った上で具体的な発行を開始したい。現時点では具体的な発行は今月下旬を予定している」と述べ、発行が始まるのは今月下旬になるという見通しを示しました。
　いわゆる「ワクチンパスポート」は、新型コロナウイルスのワクチン接種を受けたことを証明するもので、経済界などからは、海外出張を円滑に行うため、早期の導入を求める声が出ていました。
　当面は、海外への渡航に必要なパスポート（旅券）を持っている人を対象に、市区町村がワクチンの接種記録をもとに「紙」で発行し、氏名や国籍、旅券の番号のほか、ワクチンを接種した日付などが記載されることになっています。
　将来的には、利便性を高めるためデジタルでの申請や発行も検討されています。
　政府は、ワクチンパスポート発行に当たって、当面の間、申請者への手数料は求めず、発行にかかる事務費は国費で賄うとしています。
