■韓国初の新型コロナワクチン、ＳＫバイオが量産開始 ８月末に出荷へ

　韓国バイオ医薬品のＳＫバイオサイエンスは、新型コロナウイルスのワクチン量産を始めました。初の国産ワクチンとして韓国防疫当局と供給契約を結び、８月末に出荷します。
　同社はイギリス当局とヨーロッパ当局にも承認を申請しています。ワクチンを公平に分配する国際的な枠組み「ＣＯＶＡX（コバックス）」を通じ、世界各地への供給を目指します。
　ＳＫバイオのコロナワクチン「スカイコビワン」は、６月末に韓国当局の承認を受けました。東部の安東（アンドン）市で生産し、今後２年間で1000万回分を供給する契約を結びました。
　韓国当局の担当者は、「コロナ感染症の治療薬とワクチンの双方を国内で確保し、未来の感染症にも対応できる体制を構築した」と述べました。
　「スカイコビワン」は、合成抗原方式の新型コロナワクチン。新型コロナウイルスから遺伝子を抽出した後、ＡとＢという構成物をそれぞれ培養器で培養し、これを混合させたものが原液となります。これをグローバル製薬企業グラクソ・スミスクラインが開発した免疫増強剤と混ぜ、体の中に注入します。
　「スカイコビワン」は臨床試験の第三相試験で、これまでの新型コロナワクチンよりも免疫原性および安全性の側面で優位性が立証されたことを通じて、韓国国内の食品医薬品処の品目許可を獲得しました。
　また、「スカイコビワン」はセ氏２～８度の冷蔵保管が可能。超低温の流通設備が不要なため、発展途上国にも供給しやすい特長があります。アメリカのマイクロソフト共同創業者のビル・ゲイツ氏の財団などから開発資金を得ており、当初から広く発展途上国への供給を想定して開発されていました。
