■武田薬品のおたふく風邪ワクチン、25日に出荷再開へ 供給不足が緩和される見込み [健康ダイジェスト]
武田薬品工業は19日、おたふく風邪（流行性耳下腺炎）ワクチンの出荷を25日にも再開すると明らかにしました。国内の主力製造拠点で設備の不具合が見付かり、４月から出荷を停止していました。
武田はワクチンの国内供給の半分を担うため、小児科などの医療機関で続いている接種予約が取りにくい状況が緩和されそうです。
出荷を再開するのは、おたふく風邪ワクチン「タケダ」。山口県光市内の工場で３月、ワクチンのもととなる原液製造関連のフィルターに異常が見付かり、設備点検結果を待って出荷する予定だったワクチンを「品質への影響が否定できない」として廃棄し、出荷を停止していました。一般的に同ワクチンの製造には６カ月ほどかかるとされ、10月末の出荷再開に至ったもようです。
おたふく風邪ワクチンを巡っては４月以降、各地の小児科などで接種予約が取りにくい状況が続いています。製造されたワクチンを順次出荷していくため、供給が安定するまで一定の時間がかかるものの、ワクチン不足の状況は緩和される見込み。
おたふく風邪は４、５年ごとに子供を中心に流行し、感染者の1000人に１人が重い難聴になります。ワクチンは、予防接種法に基づき公費で賄う定期接種ではなく、希望者が受ける任意接種。日本小児科学会は１歳時と小学校入学前の２回の接種を勧めており、2019年には約160万人が打っています。ワクチンには、発症を90％防ぐ効果があるとされます。
